Sampsa @ Intel Sweden overclocking event

Overclocking event at Intel Sweden in Kista 5th - 7th of October. Overclockers from Scandinavia invited for testing how far we can push their latest CPUs.

Thomas our host from Intel Sweden, LN2 tank and me.

Movies and gaming were available in living room but no time for those during the weekend.

Intel's labs ready for some serious benchmarking.

Me and Intel's upcoming 45 nm quadcore Yorkfield microprocessor.

Socket 775 CPU from week 34 in detail.

Cutting insulation for motherboard.

LN2 container (Kingpin's Dragon pot) mounted on CPU.

A couple hundred liters of liquid nitrogen (-196°C) reserved for the weekend.

Pouring the LN2.

First testing the CPU limits and running Radeon HD 2900 XT in CrossFire configuration with stock cooling (880/990 MHz).

Mounting the GPU containers designed and manufactured by Ilkkahy for graphics cards.

System ready for some serious benchmarking.

Cooling down the CPU and graphics cards.

CPU container at -155°C.

GPU containers at -70°C. Radeon HD 2900 XT CrossFire working @ 1135/970 MHz.

Carefully pouring the LN2 and keeping an eye on temperatures with Robert (Crotale from Sweden / Nordichardware).

Running 3DMark06, once again.

Last couple of seconds before the end result shows up. Nosferatu from OCTeam Denmark can't believe his eyes so he is filming everything to be sure the numbers are true.

Great score in 3DMark06! Me, Robert and Anders from Nordichardware are celebrating.

Heating the CPU container after the tests.

Öjvind from Sweclockers running 3DMark06 with air cooling.

Nosferatu happily heating up his system.

Thanks to Intel Sweden for a great event! Everything was perfect from food and hotel to test samples. Full article coming shortly to Muropaketti.com.
